European architecture is a general term for a wide range of buildings, with its gorgeous decoration, exquisite shape to achieve graceful and luxurious effect, so European architecture has many edges and corners. The characteristics of European architecture in construction form are: concise, clear lines, symmetry, the use of light and shade of color to impact the vision.
There are several European styles, such as Romantic Baroque, Rococo, Elegant Ancient Style, Rich Renaissance Style, etc. Here we briefly introduce the characteristics of several European architectural styles, they are Gothic architecture, Rococo architecture, European simplicity.
  Characteristics of Gothic Architecture
The Cathedral of Strasbourg, France, is a typical Gothic building. It is characterized by high spires, pointed arches, large windows and window panes with biblical stories. In the design, the spire-ribbed vault, flying buttress and slender pillars are used to create a light and slender sense of flying sky, and the new frame structure is used to increase the strength of supporting the top, so that the whole building is supported by a strong religious atmosphere with straight lines, magnificent appearance and inner space of the church, and long windows with stained glass. The plane of the church is basically cross-shaped, and a pair of towers are added on both sides of the west end door.
The top of a Gothic building is a pointed ribbed vault. The height and span of the vault are unlimited. It can be built tall and large. There is also a hint of "upward". This kind of building has a large area of row windows, these windows basically play the role of the wall, there is a colorful religious story on the glass, the structure of the window lattice is very exquisite. Gothic architecture doors are pushed inward, with a large number of reliefs, bundle pillars mostly combined with each other, emphasizing vertical lines, but also set off the high space.
The interior of Gothic Architectural Church is spacious, simple and unified, and the decoration details are also themed with cusp coupons. The architectural style and structural techniques form an organic whole. The whole looks simple, grand and bright.
  Rococo Architectural Style
The shape of the building is satisfied with rhythmic layout, natural building materials or a simple tone, while the interior is colorful. The greatest feature is the obvious hedonism of life, which is mainly embodied in the palace built by the nobles and officials for themselves. Pay attention to the rhythm of lines, the sense of space and rich transformation of the three-dimensional sense, with a painting-like effect, very particular about the form of murals, the use of complex and changeable curves and decorative painting layout of the wall. Interior decoration is often based on white, using flowers, palms, waves, shells and other decorative patterns, like to use imported products (such as Chinese porcelain, Oriental silk, etc.) to decorate the interior, which has a delicate and lively meaning, but it destroys the solemn, balanced and stable feeling of the building, especially the use of dazzling colors such as gold, pink, light green, which makes people more dazzling.
This style of architecture includes the Danish palace, the "Cathers Listening" in the house of Fisburg, Germany, and so on.
Compared with the European classical thick and palace temperament, the European simple style of architecture is more popular with Chinese people. The European style of simplicity only uses some symbols or elements in the European style, simplifies the original complex and diverse lines and shapes, and has the characteristics of luxury, elegance, comfort and romance. It is suitable for use in medium or small space.
Only a small part of the European style elements, mostly wallpaper and paint to decorate the wall, especially the use of high-end wallpaper, can greatly strengthen the European style of space. Some parts will use some simple sculpture, smooth, styling pillars, corners, horns and so on. The floor is mostly tiled with antique bricks to create a European-style effect. The tone is relatively elegant. The sofa is mostly high-grade fabric weaved by warp and weft.
