  Granite is hard and belongs to natural stone with excellent performance. Its decorative effect is remarkable, so it has been developed for home decoration application. However, with the wide application of granite materials, its outstanding problems are constantly found, such as natural stone is breathable, granite is no exception. In order to solve the problem of granite lesion, the invention of curing agent was created.
  As a high-grade building decoration material, granite is favored by consumers because of its nobility and elegance, but there are also various problems in use, which makes people realize the necessity of granite maintenance. Granite curing agent is a product that can prevent or maintain granite. Its basic protection for granite is water-proof. Besides, it also has anti-fouling, acid-alkali resistance, reinforcement, and prevention of granite corrosion and weathering due to chemical reaction in the use process. It also keeps the original color of granite for a long time, so as not to deepen or make the color of granite darker after use. The decorative effect of granite decreases due to some unexpected conditions. The products that can play this role can be called granite curing agent. The following is the classification of granite curing agent and its application in construction.
  Classification of Granite Curing Agent Products
  (1) It can be divided into water-based curing agent and solvent-based curing agent in appearance.
  (2) It can be divided into waterproof, anti-fouling, alkali-resistant, brightening and hardening.
  (3) Chemical composition can be divided into inorganic silicon, organosilicon, organofluorine, organofluorosilicon, silicone propylene (some compounds of organosilicon and propionic acid copolymerization, such products can prevent certain water without affecting the bonding force), propionic acid (such products can enhance the bonding force between granite and cement, have little help in waterproofing, and can assist other granite curing agents to achieve certain functions);
  (4) from morphology, it can be divided into solid, colorless transparent liquid, white emulsion, paste and so on.
  (5) From the effect, it can be divided into simple waterproof, waterproof and oil-resistant, waterproof and alkali-resistant.
  (6) On this basis, there are color enhancement, fast drying, slow drying, fast curing reaction, slow curing reaction, etc.
  (7) Special classifications (classified according to construction requirements) of granite curing agents applied on dry granite;
  Application of granite curing agent in construction:
  Granite curing agent for construction on wet granite;
  Granite curing agent for preventing regeneration of water spots (only for granite renovation);
  Hardening: In addition to waterproofing, some granite curing agents also have hardening function, which makes granite as hard as it used to be, especially for the treatment of soft, damaged and powdered plates.

  Granite is one of the most popular household building materials nowadays. It is famous for its elegant and mild decorative effect. In our daily life, we need to be careful when choosing the curing agent of granite, clearly judge the pathology, and then choose the curing agent, so as to avoid the secondary damage of granite materials.
