China, India, Turkey and Italy, as big stone countries, have two ancient civilizations, and the other two also play an important role in the history of world civilization. They have not only endowed stone with unique cultural imprint since ancient times, but also become the guide of stone industry in the modern world. They not only have huge reserves and excellent quality of mine resources, but also rank among the top in the modern world stone trade.
  India:
As one of the four ancient civilizations, India has a long history and culture. The use of stone by Indians can be traced back to 3200 BC. After the baptism of time, Indian stone has changed from simple building materials to cultural symbols with their own personality. Many stone buildings, as the cultural heritage of the country, stand in front of people today. Temples, castles and palaces made of locally produced stones carve out a splendid ancient Indian civilization. The beautiful Taj Mahal shows off the glory of Indian marble in Agra. Ka Dian, Xiangdao Cave, Shang Dian and ancient Buddhist monuments are also witnesses of the origin of Indian stone.
In the current era, most of Indias important modern buildings, such as the presidential palace, the parliament building and the Supreme Court, are made of high-quality Rajasthan sandstone. At the same time, India is now a pioneer in the world stone industry. It is estimated that Indias stone resources are about 1.69 billion cubic meters, including more than 160 colours of granite block (DSG), whose mineral deposits are located in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Central Pradesh, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh and many other places. From traditional stone buildings to natural stone used in modern buildings, India consumes more than 1.25 billion US dollars a year, while exports exceed 27% of the worlds total, ranking third in the worlds export volume. Indias stone production accounts for 10% of the international market, and its natural stone exports are mainly from the United States, Italy, Japan, Germany and China. Indian stone is famous for its excellent quality and strength. Its quality has reached the worlds highest standards and has been used in several famous construction projects in the world.

China China
Stone resources in China are all over the north and south of the Yangtze River. Inside and outside the Great Wall, 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions all have stone resources and have been developed. From Inner Mongolia, which produces Fengzhen black, to Hainan Province, which produces Yazhou red, from Liaoning, which produces Dandong green, to Xinjiang, which produces Tianshanlan orchid, and Xizang, which produces Han Baiyu, more than 3,000 stone mines (spots) have been built and more than 1,000 varieties (more than 400 kinds of marble and 600 kinds of granite) have been produced. Compared with the world stone industry, Chinas stone industry started late, but not inferior. From more than 30 stone enterprises in the early stage of reform and opening up to more than 20,000 stone enterprises today, the number of employees has grown from hundreds to 5 million. At present, there are more than 1300 kinds of stone in China; the annual production of natural slabs has reached 140 million_, of which granite is 0.8 billion_and marble is 0.4 billion_; and the annual output value is more than 80 billion yuan.
According to the current situation of development and preliminary geological work, stone resources are mainly distributed in Changbai Mountains and Yanshan Mountains; Shandong Hills, especially in Jiaolai Valley, Laoshan and Taishan, are extremely rich in resources; Southeast Hills, Hangzhou Bay in the north, Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the west, including Xianxia Mountains, Daiyun Mountains, Nanling Mountains, Yunkai Mountains, etc., with an elevation below 500 meters, granite Dali Stone resources are expected to account for one-half of the estimated reserves and varieties in China according to the information available at present; while in Taihang Mountains, Wutaishan and Hengshan areas of Luliang Mountains, a group of high-grade granite resources are concentrated; in Qinling Mountains and in Western Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau on the west side of Sichuan Basin, in Daxueshan and Daliangshan areas, there are a large number of red, green and black series with excellent quality. Granite and marble; Lijiang, Nujiang and Dali Autonomous Prefectures in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau abound in famous and excellent varieties of marble; Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang and Wuzhishan Mountains in Hainan Island also distribute different kinds of stone resources, such as Tianshan Orchid Granite, which is well-known at home and abroad.
  Turkey, Turkey
Turkey is located in the Alps rich mineral belt, so its marble reserves are very high, with 5.1 billion cubic meters and 13.9 billion tons. Turkish marble accounts for 33% of the worlds marble reserves, which means it can reach 15 billion cubic meters. Turkish marble plays an important role in the field of natural stone in the world by virtue of its variety, high reserves, rich experience, rich raw materials, convenient transportation conditions (sea transportation) and advanced technology. Turkeys main stone varieties include marble, crystal, limestone, cave stone, jadeite, conglomerate, diabase and so on. Turkey has nearly 1500 factories engaged in stone processing, more than 7500 stone trading companies, and nearly 250,000 people engaged in the stone industry. However, the production of granite in Turkey is relatively low. In recent years, a large number of granites have been imported from China mainly because of the high quality and low price of granite products in China. For stone tools and machinery, Turkey imported a lot from Italy and Spain before, but now more from China, hoping to cooperate with Chinese stone enterprises.
Over the past few years, Turkeys stone industry has been developing steadily and is one of the largest exporters of marble in the world. At present, there are more than 1000 mines in China, and more than 290 stone varieties, of which more than 280 belong to natural stone varieties. Turkey has been dominating the world marble market because of its different types of marble.
